Friendly staff and amazing wildlife sightings: The staff at the lodge were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We were able to see a variety of animals, such as armadillos and fluffy creatures, right on the property. It was a truly unique and memorable experience. Beautiful natural surroundings and convenient location: The lodge is situated in a stunning natural setting, surrounded by lush greenery and birds flying around. the location is convenient for exploring the nearby hot springs and volcanic center. It's important to note that having a car is recommended due to limited bus service.- Access to kitchen facilities: We were grateful that the staff allowed us to use their kitchen fridge to keep our drinks cold. This was a great bonus and made our stay even more enjoyable.
Salty grilled chicken: The only downside was that the grilled chicken we had on two occasions was quite salty. However, this was overshadowed by the other positive aspects of our stay.

The location of the hotel is great, being centrally located in the heart of the volcanos region and close to various attractions such as Miravalles Volcano and Rincón de la Vieja National Park. the friendly and helpful staff are a highlight, always willing to assist with any needs. the simple and basic rooms are clean and the peaceful rural setting provides a nice escape. the on-site restaurant served delicious local cuisine, adding to the overall positive experience.
The lack of air conditioning in the rooms could be uncomfortable, especially during hotter months.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and provided us with a lot of useful information about the local attractions. Plus, the price for the accommodation was a great deal.
We were expecting a more isolated and quiet setting based on the pictures and description, but the hotel was actually right on the side of a busy road with loud trucks passing by, even at night. This was quite bothersome.

We had a fantastic stay at a charming rural Costa Rican lodge. The cabins were clean and the surrounding gardens were beautiful. We enjoyed watching the birds while having a delicious breakfast. The owner, Jorge, was extremely helpful and provided us with great recommendations for nearby attractions. Despite the lack of AC, the fans and open windows kept us comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a peaceful and enjoyable stay in Costa Rica.

We stayed at Paraiso Volcano Lodge for a few days while exploring Rincon de la Vieja park. The owner was incredibly pleasant and accommodating. The breakfasts were delicious and the dinners were very reasonably priced. The hotel has a camping-style feel with small lodges, but they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The grounds are beautiful with lots of birds, adding to the overall experience. The staff were amazing, making us feel like we had made some good friends during our stay. The owner's wife runs the restaurant and her cooking is fantastic. The location is quiet and serene, with toucans and squirrels as breakfast companions. Jorge, the host, was exceptional, providing great breakfasts and helpful information about nearby attractions and tours.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
